BLOEMFONTEIN: South Africans can now look forward to visit a new, exciting new exhibition telling the story of dinosaurs that lived on the planet once.
The brand new Kgodumodumo Dinosaur Inerpretation Centre will be opened at the SANParks Golden Gate Highlands National Park between Clarens and Phuthaditjhaba today.

The centre is a collaboration between SANParks and the Department of Tourism and aims to enhance the visitor experience in the Golden Gate Park in the Eastern Free State.
The establishment of the Kgodumodumo Centre aims to enhance the visitor experience to Golden Gate and R120 million was invested in this project. The interpretation centre offers an scientific paleontological, archeological and geological knowledge, with a broader appreciation of cultural heritage through interactive exhibitions.

The exhibition focuses on dinosaurs that lived in Southern Africa millions of years ago. Dinosaurs that lived in South Africa like the Massospondylus, Dracovenator and Heterodontosaurus offer important insights into the early evolution of more famous dinosaurs like the Diplodocus, Tyrannosaurus and Triceratops.
The opening of the exhibition at Golden Gate will open a window into the ancient history of the dinosaurs of Southern Africa and Planet Earth.
