10, 11 October

Parents, guardians, grandparents, and single parents are all invited to a Living Legacy Parenting Conference that is designed to inspire and equip families to build stronger, more stable, and faith-centred homes. The conference will be held at the Kingdom Ministeries building, on the corner of Tempest and Ararat Road, and will address practical and spiritual topics to achieve their goal of a more stable family dynamic. Parents can look forward to inspiring insight from a list of dynamic speakers, encouraging and heartfelt testimonies from families, and the opportunity to establish and foster a fellowship with other parents. The evening event on Thursday, 9 October, is scheduled to start at 18:00, and the day event will start at 09:00 on Saturday, 11 October. 11 October

A Kids Fun Day carnival will take place at the Phakisa Raceway. This family-friendly event is suitable for children of all ages and promises to be filled with fun activities and entertainment for both young and old. It commences at 11:00 until 22:00. Some of the highlights include interactive games, bouncy castoles, face painting, arts and crafts, paint ball, and archery. Call 079 178 2211.

25 October

The Cancer Community Centre in Welkom will host its fourth Fight Night, with incredible and exciting fights lined up for the event. In addition to the trading of leather, there will also be a beauty pagent held for both male and female participants. There will be stalls (food and goods), a kid’s corner, and a cash bar. For 13 weeks, until 26 November, The Kingdom Ministries in Welkom will be running a grief share course for people who have lost someone in death to help them along their grief journey. The course can be attended on Wednesdays at 18:30 at the church, on the corner of Arrarat and Tempest Road.
