The Goldfields Philatelic Society holds its monthly meeting at the Welkom Retirement Village,
starting at 08:00 for 09:30. Those who would like to learn more about philately, as well as anyone requiring answers about their collection, can attend. Youngsters who would like to find out about this hobby are welcome. For more information dial 082 805 4800 or 084 333 7000.

The Mara-A-Basotho half marathon, in collaboration with Real Lion Athletics Club, is held. Registration takes place on 10 and 11 July at the Goudveld Multisport clubhouse in Disa Street, Welkom. The entry fees for
the race are as follows: R180 for the 21km, R100
for the 10km and the R50 for the 5km. The 21km race starts at 08:00, with the 10km and the 5km events

The Morning Star Children’s Centre’s annual general meeting is held at the centre’s premises in the
Kopano Complex in Meulen Street. The meeting will start at 18:00 and is open to all interested parties.
