The discovery of the body of a baby girl determined to be between one and three months old has sent shock waves through the Bronville community.

The baby’s body had been mutilated, body parts were missing and she had sustained several stab wounds.

Capt. Stephen Thakeng, media liaison officer for the Lejweleputswa police, says a murder case is being investigated.

“The baby’s head, left leg and right arm were missing and she had sustained four stab wounds,” says Thakeng.

The body was discovered on 13 January by the owners of a house in extention 15, Bronville. The body was lying in their yard.

“The home owners have stated they do not know the deceased child,” says Thakeng.
