Dare to take part in fun run

The Dare Devil Run (DDR) is a national annual event to create awareness of male prostate cancer. This will be the third year in which Virginia participants will be taking part in this event. The Virginia DDR will take place during the Twilight Fun Run that will start at 18:15 on Friday, 13 October, at the Sand River Golf Course (on the parkrun route). “This is a fun event and the Twilight Fun Run even more so because it is a free family event that is followed with a bring ’n braai. We are in the process of communicating with CANSA to be present as well in order to promote fund raising for them,” says Frans Kapp, one of the organisers. Men who have registered (entry is R180) will receive a goody bag that includes a purple Speedo, purple shoe laces, a water bottle and a DDR arm band.
