During intensified Vala Umgodi operations in the Goldfields, 32 people were arrested for illicit gold activities, drugs, and illegal immigration.
On 18 September the two suspects ,aged 21 and 25 years, were arrested for possession of gold-bearing amalgam.
Proactive actions were also carried out on the R30 national road and surrounding areas where ten undocumented persons, aged between 21 and 34 years, were arrested.
The combat team also followed up information and searched a house in the Phomolong Location near Hennenman.
Two suspects, aged 37 and 40 years, were arrested for dealing in drugs.
Dagga weighing 4,232 kg, with an estimated street value of R30 000, was seized.
Op 16 September a roadblock was conducted on the N1 at Ventersburg and a total of 653 persons and 110 motor vehicles were searched.
Eighteen people were arrested for contravention of the Immigration Act.
