Crowned as king of the court

Dean Katzin represented the St Dominic’s College in Welkom at the Tecnifibre Bloemfontein Open Junior Squash Tournament. This event, hosted from 3 to 5 March, not only attracted entrants from across South Africa, but also squash players from other countries. There were around 400 entries in total, with 40 boys competing in the U13 section. Dean, ranked second at the start of the tournament, beat the top-ranking player by three games to one to claim the title of U13 champion. number e U13 section beating the number one ranked player. Dean started the tournament ranked number two. This makes Dean the number one U13 boys player in South Africa.Squash players aged 11 to 19 competed in this event.
