Entries for Miss Matjhabeng 2024 have opened, and close in June.
The pageant will be held on Saturday, 30 November.
The entry categories are Junior (6 to 12 years), Teens (13 to 17 years), Mr Matjhabeng (18 to 35 years), Miss Matjhabeng (18 to 35 years), and Mrs Matjhabeng (18 to 35 years).
After the pageant in 2023, owner Rito Madingana made a food donation to an animal shelter, donated clothes to a children home, and gave Christmas food to street children.
“Six of our contestants received back-to-school stationery kits, two received college bursaries, ten received assistance to complete their learner’s and driving licenses, and two received gym supplements. We transformed lives within a short space of time and we appreciate all contributions. We hope to continue to touch many more lives with the communities support and generosity,” says Madingana.
Miss Matjhabeng is one of the initiatives of the Rehoboth Reconcile Ignites Foundation (RRI). This is a non–profit organisation (NPO), of which Madingana is the chairperson.
“We are able to keep children off the streets and give them hope for the future through inspiring educational programmes ensuring positive influence within our society .
“We mentor future leaders and ambassadors; we groom responsible and independent young men and women, thereby adding value to our economy and relevant structures: academia, innovative technology, agriculture, health, sports, arts, and culture,” she says.
The RRI believes in shaping a brighter future for the next generation. “Assisting and teaching gives us great joy. It is a wonderful opportunity to give back and to be a part of this future generation.”
