Forever Young MC Welkom will celebrate 12 years this month after the club was established by a small group of motorcycle enthusiasts on 1 May 2010.

The club covers a whole range of motorcycle-related events and its members ride all types of machines, as long as they are roadworthy.

Currently there are 19 fully-patched members and three supporters.

“We support each other, we pray together and we party together – no matter what bike you ride or how long you have ridden it,” says Ernest Cross, president of the club.

Members come together on weekends at the clubhouse in Eighth Street, Welkom.

“Visitors and potential new riders are always welcome to visit our clubhouse,” says Cross.

The club will celebrate its birthday on 28 May from 14:00.

The celebration will be a festive affair with food stalls, games and live entertainment. In the entertainment line-up are 15 local artists and the rock star Mona-Lee.

One visitor will win R10 000. Raffle tickets for the lucky draw are on sale now from any of the members.

More information is available on the Facebook page Forever Young MC Welkom, or dial 083-273-6166.
