The Welkom Warriors Darts Club was started in 2015 with only five members. The first clubhouse was at Friend’s Pub in Welkom, and over the years the club carried their flag with great pride and had successes over all divisions.
In 2020 the club went through major changes and two of the original founding members, Andries Prinsloo and Fred Human, together with the new management, moved the club over to the Welkom Club Ladies Bar.
After moving venues, the club got an upgrade, a new logo, new shirts, new boards, and lights which took the club to the next level.
The club now has 25 members with strong and active management.
There are plans to expand the club even more in the near future, with greater focus on women and juniors.
Warriors Dart Club has stands out at the Lejweleputswa Darts League they have competed in.
The club also has social darts games for people not interested in playing in the league.
Anyone can become a member.
There are special events and fund raisers held annually, which include an open golf day and the Ladies Bar fishing club where participants are challenged to an angling competition.
They combine the social pool club and the darts team at the Ladies Bar for pool and darts events and a business league for some after-work team building fun.
Tuesday evenings are open for practice at 18:00, and is for anyone who wants to join in the fun.
