The Ring Contact Fighting Arts (RCFA) Bhubezi Fight Club competed at the annual Winter War Championships in Mpumalanga, Nelspruit.

On 2 March, six students from the club formed part of the team, and collected a total of 24 medals between them, with two students making it to the Top 10 list. Steven Nkgadima placed 8th and Siyabonga Gina 10th.

“Oratilwe Motsamai and Gina were also recognition as the best improved students for 2023 at the ‘23 Arts Awards ceremony that was held in February,” says Sensei Joe Gladstone Ralejoe.

Over twenty clubs from around the country attended and competed at the tournament, including a team from Zimbabwe.

Sensei Joe says the introduction of new fighting modes brought excitement to the tournament, and the main fight was a National Championship bout that made the event to be extra special. The new fighting modes include Sport Boxing, Supreme Martial Artist and African Stick Fighting.

He was part of the team of officials as a Judge and Referee for the tournament.
