Churches in Action (CIA) has distributed over 16 000 nutritious cooked meals to those in dire need in the Goldfields.
“Initially the project was aimed at providing meals for 2 weeks. We will however continue as long as God makes the means available through our wonderful community,” says a spokesperson for the group.

“Although the economy it tough now and each family tries to look after their own, we would appreciate any help that we can get. Should any business be able to contribute towards the expenses like the salaries of the workers preparing these meals, a section 18A certificate can be issued,” she says.
