The church has the best news ever to share with humanity, as we see in the writings of Paul when he talks about the gospel.
In Romans 1:16 he writes that he is not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: For it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and to the Greek.
The gospel is the means that God uses to deliver, liberate, and heal man from physical, emotional, and spiritual sickness.
The gospel is also the medium that God uses to bridge the gap between Him and man through reconciliation, as well as to bring reconciliation to all through Jesus Christ.
Paul was not ashamed of the gospel because he knew its power and effect on people. In his own life and ministry, he experienced and witnessed the redeeming and healing power of the gospel.
My question is, have we as a church packaged the gospel in such a way that it has no attraction for the world?
The world packages its lies in such a way that people embrace the lie and reject the truth.
I believe that the moment has come that the true church must again preach the gospel in its full power to all nations, because the gospel is the only medium that can renew the heart of man.
Our South African nation does not need a change of culture or attitude, but a change of heart and this can only come about through the gospel of Jesus Christ. He has the power to transform man into a new creation.
Eze 36:26 – And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. And I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.
