Centre in need of help

The Heal the Hearts Safe Home and Community Development in Thabong is a non-profit organisation devoted to the care of orphans and children who, for various reasons, cannot be cared for by their biological families.

It is customary for three staff members of the Masupatsela Pharmacy, who celebrate their birthdays in September, to give back to the community. Masupa has his birthday on 7 September, and together with other two staff Thoko Nyalani (6 September) and Manie Vlok (5 September) they gave gifts to the Heal The Hearts Safe Home. “The next of kin of these children may be deceased, absent or abusive,” says Nkhetheni Masupa, a guardian of the centre.

He says Heal the Hearts is situated in Phokeng, Thabong, and is in need of any assistance to erect a reliable safe structure for about 24 children.

“These children and their caregivers are now relying on a shack as living accommodation,” says Masupa.
