Premier Soccer League (PSL) player Anver Esterhuizen, popularly known as Gube by his soccer fans across South Africa, will be cleaning the streets of Bronville together with Welkom’s own entertainment personality and celebrity DJ Taaibos on Saturday (23/07).
They will be joined by the organising team of the Bronville Sports and Arts Festival, all the models who entered the Miss Bronville United FC 2022 pageant and the young upcoming soccer players of Bronville United FC.
“The community of Bronville is also invited to join them in cleaning up the streets of Bronville and keeping the area clean in the spirit of celebrating Nelson Mandela Day”, says Taaibos.
Esterhuizen is from Vergenoeg, a suburb in Bronville, and he played soccer professionally at Bloemfontein Celtic FC and then moved to play at Free State Stars FC and later joined Swallows FC in Johannesburg.
The much-anticipated Bronville Sports and Arts Festival is scheduled to behosted on 7 August at the Bronville Stadium in Welkom.
The festival consists of a soccer tournament, netball tournament, rugby tournament and Miss Bronville United FC, which is an outdoor pageant.
