A fun family picnic day in aid of CANSA has been planned to take place at the Naudeville Primary School on Sunday, 16 October.
Fun activities for children, a photo booth, a spray-a-thon, and entertainment by local talent form part of the programme.
The fun day is part of Tanja de Meillon’s journey as a Mrs South Africa finalist.
“I want to thank the formidable team who is backing me to get this event off the ground. Bring your picnic basket, sunscreen, umbrella and blanket and enjoy a day of leisure together.
Naudeville will be doing their Walk for Jesus, and the school’s choir and Voortrekker group will be a great part of the excitement planned for the day,” says De Meillon.
Stephanie Joubert of the Welkom Oncology Unit will give a talk on cancer.
“We will be interviewing some of our cancer survivors who appear on our Calender of Hope,” says De Meillon.
Family tickets cost R100, with a maximum of five members.
Additionally, De Meillon says cupcakes may be ordered in support of the event.
Orders can be placed by calling 082-708-1916.
