The Easter road safety awareness campaign was marked by a prayer session that was held on the R30-road at Allanridge.
The Allanridge police in conjunction with the Community Policing Forum (CPF), the Men’s Forum, the Traditional Healer Organisation, the Sisterhood, Spiritual Crime Prevention, Lesedi, Churches, Provincial Traffic Department.
The Easter road safety prayer session on 14 March from 12:00 until 13:00 on the R30 at Allanridge.
Several accidents have previously been reported during the Easter weekend on this stretch of road.
During the campaign six traffic-related fines were issued.
Archbishop Oupa Phumo led the Spiritual Crime Prevention team.
“We will continue to ensure that more boots will be on the ground to ensure that road users comply with traffic rules to minimize accidents,” says Capt. Stephen Thakeng, media liaison officer for the Lejweleputswa police.
