The child protection organisation House of Hope’s baby formula was previously funded by government, but this funding is no longer an option.

So says Franklin Mutota, marketing manager of the Goldfields Casino.

“We have therefore started the House of Hope Baby Milk Donation Initiative in an endeavour to obtain much-needed formula for the home,” he says.

Mutota mentions that the home is licensed to house 20 babies.

“There are currently 17 babies being taken care of,” he confirms.

Mutota says to this end the casino challenges other businesses in the Goldfields to match or add to the donation made by the Goldfields Casino in order to support a continuous delivery of baby formula to House of Hope until funding can be re-established.

The casino has donated a hundred tins of Lactogen Baby Milk. “This equates to one month supply to feed all babies currently in the care of House of Hope,”he says.

“Any business who would like to donate, kindly visit Arrie Nel Jan Cilliers Park Pharmacy, who are willing to sell Lactogen Baby Milk to businesses at cost price, for this particular initiative,” he says.

House of Hope will supply businesses with Section 18A certificate for tax purposes.
