Two suspects have been arrested in connection with business robberies at petrol stations in Virginia and Hennenman.

On 01 September at about 20:15, a 25-year-old cashier was on duty at a petrol station in Virginia when two African men robbed an undisclosed amount of cash at gun point.

The suspects used a silver Mercedez Benz with the registration number JD15GB GP as a get-away car. No shots were fired.

In another incident on 01 September at about 19:15, a 42-year-old petrol attendant in Hennenman was on-duty when three African men armed with two handguns robbed the station of an undisclosed amount of cash and petrol. They were driving a silver Mercedez Benz C Class with an unknown registration number.

Capt. Stephen Thakeng, media liaison officer for the Lejweleputswa police, says two cases of business robbery are being investigated by the Provincial Organized Crime Unit.

The Hennenman and Virginia police stations circulated this information regarding the silver Mercedes Benz and two 41-year-old suspects were arrested in Ventersdorp on 02 September. The silver Mercedes Benz was in their possession.
