On Monday (28/03) employees and customers of a clothing business in Hennenman were confronted by four armed men who overpowered them and took cash and 211 cellphones.
Employees were serving customers in the shop in Steyn Street when one African male came to the counter.
“He wanted to buy air time, but before the assistant could help him, three more masked African males entered,” says Capt. Stephen Thakeng, police spokesperson in Lejweleputswa.
Employees and customers were forced to the back of the store. The suspects left the scene on foot.
