There were fifteen Easter babies born in the Free State on Easter Friday
The first arrival was the son of Annah Mohohlo (a 41-year-old mother from Bothaville). Her son was born at 01:15 at Nala Hospital and weighed 2.9 kg at birth.
Other joyful arrivals include a baby girl born to Uzile Mashinini (33). Her baby weighed 2.50 kg and was born at 02:35 at Dihlabeng Regional Hospital, the third baby, a boy weighing 3.1kg was born to Patricia Nqola (34), from Bloemfontein, who gave birth to her son at 02:42 at Pelonomi Hospital.
The Free State MEC for Health, Monyatso Mahlatsi, congratulated all the mothers and their newborns and thanked all the midwives and support staff for their commitment to better health outcomes of safe deliveries. He emphasized the health and safety of mothers and babies, and encouraged the new mothers to follow essential care protocols for their newborns.
