A Welkom resident has been missing since 2020 after he went to visit relatives in Steynsrus.
Jane Patrick Tekenya, born on 31 May 1946, was reported missing by his sister, Roseline Kgaile of house number 30134 in Freedom Square, Thabong, after he did not return from visiting family.
“Apparently on 15 March 2020 he went to Steynsrus to see his siblings and relatives and never returned home to Riebeeckstad, Welkom.
“Kgaile started searching for her brother, but all in vain,” says Capt. Stephen Thakeng, media liaison officer for the police in Lejweleputswa.
The incident was reported to the police in Welkom on 26 June 2024.
