Two suspects aged 30 to 38 were arrested by the Hawks’ Serious Corruption Investigation Unit on 6 April.
A restaurant owner in Odendaalsrus was fined R200 000 for non-compliance during a routine inspection.
After a sting operation the following day, the suspects were arrested when they tried to bribe a Department of Labour inspector.
