The police are on the hunt for a motorist involved in a hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of a 14-year-old boy.
An unknown vehicle hit the teenager on Saturday, 2 March, next to Hani Park on the Welkom-Virginia road.
The driver did not stop after the accident and was seen heading in the direction of Virginia. The victim was certified dead at the scene.
The wanted motorist reportedly travelled in a silver Mazda 3 SUV. The registration plates are unknown.
A case of culpable homicide was registered.
