A 16-year-old who allegedly raped a 7-year-old boy in a graveyard in Phomolong will be charged and tried as a minor in the Hennenman Magistrate’s Court.
The rape was reported to the Hennenman Police, and allegedly took place on 8 December.
The mother of the victim asked the children who were playing outside, and one of them informed her that a rape had taken place.
“It was reported that the rape ordeal took place on 7 December at Phomolong grave yard,” says Capt. Stephen Thakeng, media liaison officer for the Lejweleputswa police.
The 16-year-old boy was pointed out by the victim and he was arrested.
“He will undergo the process as a minor and he will appear in the Hennenman Magistrate’s Court in due course,” says Thakeng
