The body of an unidentified African male was found floating in the pan near Winnie Park, Bronville. The Bronville SAPS are requesting the public to assist in identify the man.
The body was found on 9 April with no visible injuries. A medical examination found that the man had drowned. Police were summoned to the scene by members of the community after they noticed the body. An inquest docket has been opened for further investigation.
The deceased is a African male who could be 38 to 42 years old. Also, he could be 1,7 m tall. The body was already in a decomposing state. He was wearing blue jeans and a brown T-shirt.
The deceased is still in the Welkom Government Mortuary.
