Bloem Water takes up reins

Sedibeng Water has now officially been disestablished and incorporated into Bloem Water.

Sedibeng Water has now officially been disestablished and incorporated into Bloem Water.

The Minister of Water and Sanitation, Senzo Mchunu, announced the disestablishment of Sedibeng Water in February.

Bloem Water’s service areas have been extended to include the Free State and Northern Cape areas previously serviced by Sedibeng Water, as well as the related customers such as mines.

The incorporation will provide Bloem Water with greater geographic reach and capabilities to solidify its position as one of the leading bulk water service providers in the country and a critical role player in the water industry.

Bloem Water is committed to the continuation of providing municipalities with quality water that is above standard, as well as effective and efficient water services.

The entity assures stakeholders that during the integration of Sedibeng Water, water supply will not be affected.
