A young, local model, Lebohang Sehlabaka from Kutloanong in Odendaalsrus, has been crowned as Miss Welkom 2023.
This prestigious pageant consists of three age categories (junior, teen, and senior) and was held at the Toronto Centre in St Helena, Welkom.
Lebohang is a learner at the Dunamis Christian School in Welkom and is the daughter of former model, Serati Sehlabaka.
Lebohang’s win comes shortly after auditioning for the recent Lemo Fest’s Qoai Fashion Show in Bloemfontein. Here she made it into the top 40 out of about 200 models in the province.
She will now be representing the Matjhabeng area at a national Miss Junior South Africa 2024 pageant which will be taking place in March in Pretoria.
Lebohang is coached and managed by the nationally-known celebrity DJ Taaibos under his internationally award-nominated agency, BellaDiosa Talent and Sports Agency.
Taaibos now operates in major centres like Bloemfontein, Welkom, and Johannesburg where he manages models, celebrity artists, and TV personalities.
