Keitumetse Mehlape from Hoopstad has been selected as one of the Mrs South Africa (Mrs SA) 2024 semifinalists.
As the founder and director of Lebilo Foundation and the Tswelopele Talent Show, Mehlape has a passion for empowering children and youths.
Mehlape officially set off on her Mrs SA journey on 2 February during the pageant’s national public casting, held at the Clearwater Mall in Roodepoort, Gauteng.
“This semifinalist sash is going to create a lot of opportunities for the youth of Lejweleputswa. I believe I can make a substantial impact in people’s lives,” she says.
Mehlape comes from a family who likes to serve.
“My parents help a lot of people and I also like to serve. Service delivery is in my soul. Growing up I had everything that a child could ask for and I want other children to experience the same.
“I want to be an empowered and developed woman after this journey. I have been developing youths from my community, it is time to develop and empower myself now,” she says.
