The drowning of Onkutlwile Pholo (20 months) is being investigated after he fell into an uncovered pit toilet where he lived.
“The child and his sister were playing at a house in the K10 section of Kutloanong on Tuesday (04/04). At about 11:15, they went to the back of the shack where there is an uncovered hole that is used as a pit toilet. There is no fencing and the child fell in and drowned. His body was recovered by the SAPS Diving unit,” says Capt. Stephen Thakeng, police spokesperson.
An inquest has been regis- tered for investigation, to be conducted by Det. Sgt. Obakeng Masisi of Odendaalsrus Detective Services.
