A group of 19 Welkom runners joined athletes from all over South Africa to converge in Secunda, Mpumalanga on 9 March to test their athletic skills among the fiercest on the ultra-marathon circuit.

The Kosmos 3-in-1 is a unique 73.3 km race, taking place at Lake Umuzi in Secunda. The 73.3 km is broken down into three races, making a 42.2 km, and then seven hours later the 21.1 km, and ending four hours later with a 10 km race. The three races has individual starting times (06:00, 13:00 and 17:00). Runners can also build their own distances during the course of the day.
