Four armed men who forced entry into a house in Meloding and stole computer equipment and other items valued at R2 380, have been arrested.
On 15 June the 31-year-old complainant was asleep at his residence in Steka Street, Meloding, Virginia, when there was a knock on the door.
When he responded, the door was kicked open and the four men forced their way in.
The house was ransacked and they took a computer box, a wire fence, a graphic card, a Sat cable and a USB stick.
The incident was reported to Meloding police and a case of house robbery was registered for further investigation. Members of the Meloding crime prevention unit received a tip-off, which led to the arrest of four suspects aged between 24 and 31. All the stolen items were found in their possession.
The acting district commissioner of Lejweleputswa, Brig. Mzondi Mojafi, applauded members of Meloding Visible Policing for responding quickly and arresting the suspects.
