The sixth suspect in a pending incitement of violence case against the mayor of Theunissen and five cohorts was arrested on Monday (04/07) and appeared in court.
Karabo Brian Tseki was granted R2 000 bail in the Theunissen Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
The mayor of the Masilonyana Local Municipality, Dimakatso Modise, and four others have been charged with incitement to commit public violence.
Modise was arrested for inciting violence within the period of 14 April to 30 June 2021.
The others are former Speaker Diphapang Maselo, Hongizwa Naki, Tshepo Stephen Maredi and Masetjhaba Tsoaela.
The six will appear in the Theunissen Magistrate’s Court on 3 August.
