One of the aims and objectives of the recent Arts Imbizo convened by Ziyaduma Arts Promotions was to encourage artists, cultural groups and crafters to work together, unite and embark on joint ventures and partnerships to share ideas, develop and grow.
The imbizo was held at Thabong Library 2, Putswastene, on Friday, 21 June.
Ziyaduma Arts Promotions, in partnership with the Art Heart Entertainment, invites upcoming actors and actresses, who are out of school and interested in acting, to take part in their new musical stage play My noise! Msindo!
Rehearsals are held daily at the Lejweleputswa Arts and Culture Centre, behind the Thabong Community Centre, from 10:00 to 13:00.
Acting experience is not necessary, as training is offered.
This production is intended to serve as a job creation project for unemployed and out-of-school youths.
The play will be staged as part of the celebrations for Women’s Month in August, before its Matjhabeng tour in September.
Ziyaduma Arts Promotions trains children and youths in drama, poetry and creative writing, while Art Heart Entertainment trains and promotes musicians.
Saduma Miya writes and produces the script for the play, with music by Prince Shramzy Ramoeletsi.
