Ziyaduma Arts Promotions will host the Youth Power in Concert charity concert, in aid of the Refeng Khotso Old Age Club on Saturday, 8 June.

It will be held at the Shalom Church in Themba, Thabong, from 10:00. The event will also serve to kick off Youth Month celebrations.

The line-up will include drama, poetry, dance, music, comedy, crafts and motivational speeches.

Admission is R30 for adults and R10 for children.

Some of the artists and cultural groups who will be performing include the Success Cultural Group, Khotsong Cultural Group, Drip Squad Dancers, Crushers Dancers, Thabong Youth Choir, Shalom Youth, Reformed Church Youth, and Zap drama and poetry students.

Saduma Miya, arts promoter and playwright, says other artists and cultural groups interested in taking part are invited and welcome.

“Each performer or member of participating groups will have to contribute R5 as this is a fundraiser for the Refeng Khotso Old Age Club. Crafters wishing to display and sell their works are also welcome and asked to contribute a R30 admission fee, and R10 for the stall. The same applies to vendors. Confirmation of participation or bookings must be made before 31 May,” says Miya.
