All in Welkom and surrounds invited to do their part on Mandela Day

Mandela Day is here, so ready those hands and do some good.

Mandela Day is here, so ready those hands and do some good.

Mandela Day is an annual global celebration that takes place on 18 July to honour the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela.

This day is a call to action for individuals, communities, and organisations to take time to reflect on Mandela’s values and principles, and to make a positive impact in their own communities.

This can be done by tending to an older neighbour’s garden, helping clean community centres, or even planting a tree. Anything that will have an impact on someone’s life.

Vista is going to spend their Mandela Day supporting the House of Hope staff. Donations of baby food, baby clothes and blankets to the House of Hope can be dropped off at the Vista offices, which will then be delivered at the House of Hope on the patron’s behalf.

For individuals or companies that want to spend their Mandela Day doing charity work, here is a list of all the orphanages and old age homes to visit in Welkom. Patrons can also email photos of them making a different on Mandela day to the Vista team.
