The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:13 that we can do all this through Him who gives us strength.
The context of this statement is that Paul, an Apostle, is talking about himself being content in the midst of things going well as well as when things are going bad.
As people when things are going well we usually don’t consider our need of God, however, when things are going bad, it’s then that we want to run to God and get Him to fix things.
We expect God to step in and make all the bad things go away.
That’s not how it works.
Yes, God is a loving God and He wants the best for us, but He is not a vending machine at our beck and call.
His word says in Jeremiah 29:13 that we will seek Him and find Him when you seek Him with all of our hearts.
God wants your attention and focus whether things are going well or not.
You see when you are in relationship with God no matter what’s going on in your life you will experience His peace.
That is the thing that bring contentment in any situation.
So put your focus on God and put your faith into action so you can experience Gods peace and be content.
