The grand finale of the Mr and Miss Face of Matjhabeng took place at the Clock Tower in Welkom on Saturday. The annual Mr and Miss Face of Matjhabeng beauty pageant culminated in a glittering event at the Clock Tower in Welkom on Saturday, 30 November.

Thirty contestants took to the stage to compete for the different age group titles, which included the categories Tiny (six to nine), Junior (ten to 12), Teen (13 to 17), Mr (15 to 35) and Miss Face (18 to 35) of Matjhabeng.

The winners in the Tiny age group were Lesego Motheo (title holder), Lesedi Khatoane (first princess) and Onthatile Lerara (second princess).

In the Junior category, the winners were Lereko Masilo (title holder), Faith Motheo (first princess), and Precious Moloi (second princess).

Moving to the teen category, Boitumelo Mojaki took the title with Boitumelo Kibiti taking first princess, and saw Indie Njisane being crowned as second princess.

The boys did well for themselves in the Mr Face of Matjhabeng category. Here, Justice Lebuso emerged as the victor, with Matthews Mahlomola selected as the first prince and Mochela Lekitlane as second prince.

Finally, in the Miss Face of Matjhabeng category, Tshegofatso Mpou was the crowned winner, Nkamoheleng Nyombani recognised as her first princess, and Tshepang Mokena the second princess.

The special category winners are Sibongile Xalisa (Miss Charity), Cleo Williams (Miss Personality), and Matthews Mahlomola (Mr Personality).

The senior winners won, among other big prizes, bursaries from the iCALC Academy, driving lesson gift vouchers from the Bakubung Driving School, skin care products from Earthly by Rito and Co. , and clothing vouchers from Fashion World.

Some of the charities that benefited from the pageant are the Pines Children’s Home, Ngwetsi Ya Maqeku retirement centre, Blessings Animal Shelter, and Welriedal Children and Youth Centre.
